Hello 2018, Where's the Magic?

Hello 2018, it's me! I'm motivated, I have BIG goals and I'm ready to sparkle!

Are you an entrepreneur that is super excited for the New Year? Did 2017 finish on a high note and now you are expecting bigger things for 2018? Me Too! But right now, I'm sitting here wondering when is the BOOM of 2018 going to explode its greatness all over me like confetti?!

For highly motivated people like us, we make changes and then expect the results or our efforts to pay off quickly. Days to other people, seem like weeks to us. We are in the first week of January and I'm already thinking "Hello 2018, where are you? I thought you were going to be amazing?!" The perspective shift for us can change overnight, but the results take time. The universe doesn't work on the same timeline as we do, so how do keep our hopes and energy high?

1. Stop Expecting Immediate Responses

In this world of instant gratification, this is not an easy thing to "let go". We have to work hard in silence for the first few weeks of the new year so other people have time to catch up! They won't respond right away to our promotions, social media posts or New Products because they are trying to get a grasp of their own goals too. Keep posting and putting in the work. People SEE you even if they don't respond, like or buy right away.

2. Plant some Seeds

Show others what you have to offer without expecting anything in return. This process may take days, weeks or months. Connect with new people and then connect with them again later. Plan events for the next upcoming months and start conversations about possibilities and networking. It is the perfect time of year for planting seeds while people's minds are open to new things.

3. Stay Positive

Understand that all of this work you are putting in will pay off! Trust me. Stay positive and hopeful that everything will pick up and get better. 2018 is going to be amazing, give it some time to work on all the fantastic things it has in store for you. Stay excited about what is coming up, even if it hasn't conspired yet.

Lastly, show gratitude for those you contributed to your business last year. Let people know you value their support. The season of giving may have ended, but kindness doesn't have to take a break!

I know how you all feel and I know the magic of 2018 is on its way. I hope these tips helped you, I know I already feel much better!

Happy 2018 friends!
